Snowflake Joy Card

Hello! Today, I am hosting the blog over at the Southern Ridge Trading Company - Chipboard.ca November has gone so fast! Winter is here and the holiday season is upon us!

I have been playing in my studio with the wonderful detailed snowflake chipboard diecuts. They are sold in large, medium & small and there are a variety of different designs.

I applied Distress Stain in Pewter to each shape and let it dry before adding embossing ink and silver tinsel embossing powder to each. I heat set and added them to the front of my card. Some I layered with paper snowflakes and I double layered the largest with paper snowflakes and chipboard snowflakes. I added a rhinestone to each snowflake to add a little sparkle!

Hello and thank you for joining me today!

For this weeks challenge over on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog, the theme is Non-Traditional Christmas Colours. My choice was to use Purple as my main colour and have grey for some accenting.

I cut layers for my base using purple & grey cardstock and music note pattern paper. I inked the music note pattern paper with purple ink and cut the Square Frame from grey cardstock. The 3-D Poinsettia was cut from purple cardstock and sprayed with glitter mist. The Noel was cut from purple cardstock and I added glossy accents to the top.

Any Direction Memory Book

Hello!

This week on the Cheery Lynn Design Blog challenge the theme is "Anything Goes". I decided to use my New Release Memory Book with the New Fun With Arrows.

I die cut the Arrows and used the negative black cardstock for the book cover. I backed each arrow cutout with inked primary coloured paper. I added the scalloped edges using the largest die from the A2 Frames Rectangular Scalloped set.

I used a few ribbons to bind my Memory Book and sprayed the black cardstock of the book with glitter mist.

Dies Used:

Fun With Arrows (set of 9) - B661

Tag your it!

Thank you for joining me this lovely Sunday! This week on the Cheery Lynn Blog Challenge it is all about Tags. Tag your it! I love using the Tags 1 set and it has become a true staple in my crafting kit.

I created my layers from pattern paper & black, white and turquoise inked cardstock. I die cut the black cardstock using the A2 Frames Rectangular Classic, white cardstock using A2 Frames Rectangular Scalloped, and the Turquoise using the Fiona’s Magic Mirror die.

Add the seam binding and rhinestones for a finishing touch!

Winter Wonderland!

Hello Everyone!

I'm here with you today to share a Winter themed card. I will showcase a few of the beautiful snowflake chipboard pieces that Southern Ridge has in there Winter Release.

I used the embossing dabber to apply embossing ink to the top of my 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 snowflake chipboard background. I covered the intricate snowflakes with a white sparkle embossing powder and heat set it. Then embossed the outside perimeter with silver. I placed it upon a dark blue snowflake embossed piece of cardstock and layered a matching tag on top. I added the Winter Wonderland sentiment which is also embossed in silver, white banner, rhinestones and three chipboard snowflakes (painted in three different shades of blue) to the card front.

Give Thanks Card

Hello and Happy November!

This weeks Challenge theme over on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog is Autumn Colours! I started this card by using watercolour paper and Distress Ink sprays. I cut my assorted foliage from white cardstock, chose colours of distress ink with the Autumn palette in mind and inked each one.

I layered my diecuts to the left side of the card and added the Pierced Stacker #3Old Barn Board and Thank You sentiment.

A great technique for creating veining on your Dimensional Small Leaves, is to rub an ink pad lightly over the edges on the cutting side of the die. Cheery Lynn Design dies are so detailed, the scored ridges of the die which have been inked will transfer to the paper when put through the die-cutting process which creates an awesome effect!

Dies Used:

Dimensional Small Leaves #2 - D134

Cheers to You Card!

Hello!

Thank you for joining me for today! This weeks card inspiration and challenge theme is 'Give Thanks' over on the Cheery Lynn Design blog.

I create this card with a vintage feel, wanting to use the Clocks Embossing Plate. I had Fiona’s Magic Mirror die already cut from cream cardstock so I wanted to work it into the design. I inked each die cut with dark brown ink. I layered each on the card front using foam tape. I embossed my sentiment with black embossing powder and added black rhinestones to the detail edges.

Dies Used:

Pocket Watch w/Angel Wing (Steampunk Series) - B362
