Butterfly Birthday Card!

Hello!

Welcome back to another 'Card Friday' using the wonderful Cheery Lynn Designs dies. This weeks card has a light colour palette, with a layered design.

For the base I used Kraft cardstock and matted a piece of pattern paper which is cut 1/4" smaller. I tore the right hand side and placed a white Lilith Doily Edger die cut underneath so the scallop shape is seen.

I created my Doily layered center using the Horizon Circle Boutique Stacker Frames in the medium and large, the Lilith Doily and a circle die from the Classic LG Stackers Nesting Dies.

I placed the largest Horizon Circle die cut down on my card base and then layered the Lilith Doily directly on top.

As you can see in the photo above, I die cut a circle out from the center of the medium Horizon Circle and pop-dotted it to the layers. I die cut my embossed butterfly image with the same circle stacker die and inset the image to the center.

For my focal flower, I used the Chrysanthemum Strip and an altered petal from the Sweet Christine die in the center. I accented using the Baby's Breath Flower set, Tiny Flower set and the Ivy Corner Flourish for foliage.

I added the Happy and Birthday sentiments to my card and add Rhinestones for a touch of bling!

Spring to Follow Card!

Hello!

For today's card I used Cheery Lynns lovely intricate dies, Cherry Blossom pattern paper, white cardstock, ink and silver embossing powder.

I first cut my card base and matte out of white cardstock. I inked the matte with pink ink and adhered it evenly on the card base. Next came the Cheery Blossom pattern paper cut to the same size as the French Lattice Small die which is glue on top.

I then cut the Polynesian Sails Oval doily from white cardstock. I trimmed an oval panel from the Cherry Blossom paper 1/8" larger than the center hole of the doily. I glued to the back of the doily center and used pop dot to raise the doily to the center of the card.

The Horizon Fishtail Banners is cut from white cardstock, stamped and embossed in silver. My sentiment was stamped closer to the right side.

I  created Cherry blossoms for this card using the Cherry Blossom die set, the stem/branch from the Embellishment #2 set, white cardstock and ink. I cut, inked, and formed my branch with blossoms. I am very happy with the way they turned out!

Dies Used:

Cherry Blossom - B129

Polynesian Sails Oval - DL153

Horizon Fishtail Banners (3 Dies) - DL278

Sending my Love Card

Welcome and thanks for joining me today! I have to admit that this card is out of my comfort zone ........I coloured! Better yet, I stayed inside the lines!

My inspiration for this card comes from last weeks challenge card entries! There were so many wonderful and creative entries. I encourage everyone to take part in Cheery Lynn weekly themed challenge.

To create this card, I cut the base of the card from white cardstock, smaller than the largest Horizon Square Boutique Stacker Frame. The large Horizon Square Boutique Stacker Frame die cut is centered on top of the card base. The card base will not be visible threw the delicate scalloped detail on the edges. I then cut a piece of cardstock and pattern paper - layered each on to the base.

I then layered the coloured image which was cut with a circle die from the Circle Classic - Silver Stackers. I cut the Daphne Doily down so that the scalloped edges is only showing. These are then layered upon a cardstock circle and the Kiwi Spirit Doily in white.

I created a small open rose and a rose bud with greenery. Used the smallest die from the Horizon Fishtail Banners set to cut out my embossed sentiment.

I used the Steampunk Cornerand altered them a bit! I cut the center/middle section out and replaced it with the Anastasia Border which matched the Kiwi Spirit Doily perfectly. I pop-dotted them to the top left and right corners.

To finish my card off, I added a few pearls and a little shimmer here and there!

This card must be a bit different than my 'normal' style because two of my close friends/fellow crafters saw it in my Studio on Tuesday and asked who gave it to me!!

Dies Used:

Circle Classic - Silver Stackers - L-4

Horizon Square Boutique Stacker Frames - DL253

Spring Birthday Card

Hello Fellow Crafters!

As you may notice, my card is all about Spring! Flowers, twigs and foliage!

I used a piece of thin Cork and die cut it with the French Flair Classic Stackers and the Adaptor Plate. The Cork cut out very easily - one run thru my die cut machine!  I then cut my pattern paper with a smaller French Flair Classic Stacker from the same set.

I layered these on a piece of pattern paper, which I rounded both top and bottom right side corners.

I used the Old Barn Board as a base for my Sentiment. I added the foliage before I adhered my Sentiment to give depth by layering. I also added three pink rhinestones to draw your eye to the sentiment.

The small dragonfly from the Tiny Things with Wings set was inked with blue and only glued in the middle (body) so I could lift the wings up for dimension.

I created three large flowers, four small flowers, and two rose buds. I chose pink and blue hues to compliment the background pattern paper. I also used the Dandelions, twigs and various foliage to fill in my floral arrangement. Rhinestones were added to the center of each flower.

Dies Used:

Birthday (Set of 2) - B231
