You make my life Magical!

Hello fellow Crafters,

I hope everyone has had some time this year to craft and create! I was able to have some time in my studio to create a few Valentines Day! I chose this one, that I am giving to my youngest son, to share with you today.

I started my card off by cutting the cardstock layers. The card base, banners and two panels are from Bazzill smooth white cardstock. One panel and banner are from Bazzill Jade cardstock. I used stitched detail dies to cut the panels and I used a cloud embossing folder on the two white panels.

I inked and sprayed the Scroll Borders  and added versamark  randomly on the chipboard so that the embossing powder would only stick in those places. I then sprinkled with gold embossing powder and heat embossed. I adhered one to the left side of my card. I used a small piece off the bottom of the second Scroll Border (come in a pack of two!) and tucked it under the top right corner of the small white cloud embossed panel.

I wanted to add some extra texture to the card layers so I inked a piece of cheesecloth and allowed it to dry. I then cut into strips and added under both the Jade panel and the small white cloud embossed panel.

I stamped the cute dragons, heart and sentiment (MFT) with Versafine Black ink and heat embossed with Fine Detail Black embossing powder. I coloured them in, added shimmer and cut them out. Adhered them to the small white cloud embossed panel. Added the sentiment pieces and a few light pink rhinestones.

Create Wooden Tag

Hello & Happy New Year!

I hope your New Year has started off well and that 2018 brings you happiness & creativity!

I have not had much time in my studio this past month, but I did manage to get some time today and create a tag. I had absolutely no plans except I wanted to use the Large Wood Tag!

I started by adding a light application of Gesso with a paint brush. I then selected Antique Linen, Broken China and Iced Spruce Distress Oxides. I used a blending foam tool to apply/blend the pigment ink and dried with a heat gun.

Stamped the entire Large Wood Tag lightly with a script stamp and grey archival ink. Added distress dot stamp randomly on top and heat set that layer.

I chose the inspiration word 'Createand heat embossed with a mix of Frantage embossing powders. I layered the word on top of a piece of iced spruce coloured cheese cloth to the right side of the Wood Tag.

To make the Demask Corners pop, I heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Using a glue gun, I added a variety of flowers from Southern Ridge and seam binding to the top.

Caribou Holiday Card

Hello!

I am back again to share with you another card created with Southern Ridge Chipboard die cuts and pattern paper from the Graphic 45 collection. I loved the first card I created last month with this paper and wanted to send a few more cards out to loved ones for the Holiday Season.

My card base is made from Kraft cardstock. I added multiple layers with pattern paper and Java cardstock. I loved the Caribou from the Pattern paper and wanted to highlight it. I used the small frame from the Abstract Frame Set and heat embossed the frame with Copper Tinsel embossing powder.

I loved how the frame looked so I continued with the Copper Tinsel embossing powder. I choose a Mini Wood Pine Cone and a snowflake. I embossed both and let them cool. Added the snowflake to the center of the poinsettia and tucked the pine cone under the side of the flower.

Reindeer Card

Hello!

Thank you so much for joining me today! Winter has arrived where I live and the holiday season is upon us!

I have been playing in my studio with the wonderful detailed Snowflake #3 chipboard diecuts and the Wood Small Marked Reindeer. There are a variety of different snowflake designs on the website and the Reindeer come in a pack of 4!

I only used Distress Stain in Vintage Photo to the Wood Small Marked Reindeer so that the etched design was visible - so pretty! I let it dry before adding it to the center of my card for the focal point.

I used the Snowflake #3 like last week, added glitter with a Stardust pen and tucked them under the edge of the circle.

Vintage Christmas Card

Hello Crafters!

I'm here with you today, to share my first (of many to come!) Christmas Cards using Southern Ridge Chipboard and/or Wood die cuts.

I used Bazzill cardstock in Kraft for my card base. Cut a panel of Cajun cardstock, that I embossed with a poinsettia embossing folder. I corner rounded both the card base and embossed panel. Next, I used pieces from Graphic 45's 'Winter Wonderlands' pattern papers for my top layers. Fussy cutting out the stamp and the bird. Then adding dimension by using foam adhesive on the back of the stamp.

I added the wonderful Snowflake #3 to both sides of the card. Tucking them in, to create even more depth and dimension. I love the look of these superb die cuts on Vintage style cards so I only added some shimmer with a Stardust pen to the top. I repeated the same with the circle 25. Tied a piece of seam binding to a clip on the left corner and twine to the top of the circle 25.

You only Live Once Card

Hello!

Corina here, hosting the blog today, to share my You only Live Once Card. I love this sentiment and strive to live this way. I love creating projects with custom inked back grounds and adding Southern Ridge Chipboard elements always enhances my cards.

Above is a close up picture of the Heart o Graph Drop. When you purchase these Heart o Graph Drop, they come with 4 pieces. I used the 2 of them here, for the top and bottom of my sentiment. I painted both of the pieces black and applied glue to the back. I placed them on top of a piece of lace and allowed them to dry. I then cut around the perimeter.

I used black cardstock for my card base and matte. I created my back ground paper with Distress Ink and assorted stamps with Black Archival Ink. I used my sewing machine to stitch around the edges. and added two floral clusters with pearls, gems and lace.
